The Ten Commandments are a set of biblical principles relating to ethics and worship

The table below lists the 10 Commandments and how in general, Christians and Muslims adhere to the principles.

1. You shall have no other GODS before Me

Muslims pray to one God. The same God that Jesus prayed to
2. You shall not have any False Idols
CHRISTIANITY - DISAGREE
Jesus prayed to the Father in the Temple. Today, Christians pray to Jesus and have created many false idols and statues often seen in the church
ISLAM - AGREE
Muslims pray to one God and do not have any idols, statues or imagery in the place of worship, the mosque
3. You shall not take the Name of the Lord your God in vain
CHRISTIANITY - AGREE

4. Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it Holy

5. Honor your Father and your Mother

Today, modern Christian countries have a range of elderly care homes and services. It is rare to witness
ISLAM - AGREE
Traditionally, Muslims honor their parents through the extended family and living arrangements. In Muslim countries, the elderly care homes and services sector does not exist as the siblings are expected to provide this.
6. You shall not Murder
CHRISTIANITY - AGREE
Christians consider the act of murder a major sin.
ISLAM - AGREE
Muslims consider the act of murder a major sin. A sin which may result in the taking of the murderers own life in the form of capital punishment.
7. You shall not commit Adultery
CHRISTIANITY - DISAGREE
Individually, Christians may believe adultery is a sin, but Christian countries today are more secular and place less emphasize on this issue
ISLAM - AGREE
Muslims consider adultery a sin. Many Muslim countries often uphold state punishment if convicted of adultery
8. You shall not Steal
CHRISTIANITY - AGREE
Christians consider stealing a sin.
ISLAM - AGREE
Muslims consider stealing a sin.
9. You shall not bear false witness against your Neighbour
CHRISTIANITY - AGREE
Christians consider the act of lying a sin
ISLAM - AGREE
Muslims consider the act of lying a sin
10. You shall not covet your Neighbours House, Wife or Belongings
CHRISTIANITY - AGREE
Christians consider taking the personal belongings of your neighbours without permission a sin
ISLAM - AGREE
Muslims consider taking the personal belongings of your neighbours without permission a sin
