When Nathan confronted David with the famous parable of the stolen lamb, the king condemned himself with his own words.

But this story is not about how far a man can fall. It's about what God does after the fall. David's confession in Psalm 51 became one of the most powerful prayers ever written. God forgave him completely — and the consequences still came. A child's life, a daughter's honor, a son who stole the throne, and a king who once danced before God now fleeing his own city barefoot.

Yet even on that mountain, God's presence never left him. From the wreckage, God gave David and Bathsheba a son named Solomon — and God Himself named the child Jedidiah, meaning "loved by the Lord."
