In this interview, I sit down with Dr. Munther Younes of Cornell University to discuss his research on the transmission and evolution of the Qur'anic text. Dr. Younes is Reis Senior Lecturer of Arabic Language and Linguistics at Cornell University and a renowned expert in the Arabic language. We discuss the Arabic of the Qur'an, the Tafsir tradition, how scholars have transmitted and shaped the Qur'anic text, as well as Professor Younes's life growing up in occupied Palestine.
