"Little children, guard yourselves from idols." John makes this statement immediately after explaining how Jesus reveals the True God to us, his Father, his God. Men love to make idols. The True God, the Living God, is not a doctrine devised by men, a man-made image. John shows us that the only true God is the God that Jesus reveals to us, his Father, his God. Jesus Christ's God is not a triune being. The only true God is the Living God of our Lord Jesus Christ. All other gods are false gods, idols made by men who do not know the Living True God and His son.
