How do I become a Muslim?

Every Muslim is required to believe in 6 'Articles of Faith'

1 One God

There is one, unseen God.1 of 6 He has no partner, mother, father, brother, sister, son or daughter. None is equal to Him. He is the Creator, Lord, Sustainer, and Master of all. And nothing has the right to be worshipped but Him alone. He is the true God, and every other god is false.

JUDAISM - AGREE
Jews believe that there is a single God who not only created the universe, but with whom every Jew can have an individual and personal relationship.

CHRISTIANITY - DISAGREE
The predominant Christian belief is that God is part of a Trinity 3-in-1; and Jesus is God-incarnate.

2 Prophets

All Prophets were special people chosen by God.2 of 6 Prophets were assigned a simple mission; to deliver a 'Monotheist' message to mankind (i.e. call people to the worship of one God). All prophets were mortals and human beings who had none of the divine qualities of God. A few prophets received Scripture, and a few performed miracles.

Well-known prophets include Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Isaac, Jacob, David, Jesus and Muhammad.

JUDAISM -DISAGREE
Jews do not accept Jesus as the Messiah as (according to them) he did not fulfill the messianic prophecies; and he did not embody the personal qualifications of the Messiah.

CHRISTIANITY - DISAGREE
Christians lack belief in the ongoing era of prophets. Christians believe Jesus represents the last covenenant between humanity and the Father. They reject the prophet Muhammad.

4 Angels

Angels are a creation of God.4 of 6 They are unseen 'Gods workers', honored spiritual and splendid beings that require no food, drink or sleep. They have no physical desires or material needs. Angels do not have free-will. They can only obey God and do not have the ability to disobey Him.

Among the angels is Gabriel, who was tasked with conveying the scripture to the prophets.

5 Judgement Day

One day, the world will come to an end.5 of 6 All men and women that ever lived will be resurrected from the state of death and stand before God to account for their life, beliefs and deeds. Heaven or Hell will be the final destination.

Jews believe in a Day of Judgement when the dead will be resurrected and divided into three groups: the wicked, the righteous and those who fall in between

6 Pre-Destination

God is wise, just and loving.6 of 6 Whatever He does is good, although we often fail to understand this. Pre-destination requires us to understand God's knowledge is beyond limits. Humans have free-will and can think, plan and make choices; however God is fully aware of the decisions we will make.

God knows everything. He knows what has happened and what will happen
God has recorded all that has happened and all that will happen
Whatever God wills to happen happens, and whatever He wills not to happen does not happen
God is the Creator of everything

Jews profess the principle of Free Will. It teaches that eternal life and reprobation are dependent solely upon man's good or evil actions

Christians believe the destiny of man is pre-determined by God
