1 Clement
Chapter:
1 Clement is one of two letters written to the church in Corinth attributed to Pope Clement of Rome. 1 Clement is believed by many scholars to be one of the rare early Christian works to have actually been written by the attributed author, Pope Clement himself. This alone makes it a rarity among early Christian texts.
1 Clement is focused on a dispute in the Church at Corinth about the removal of several church leaders, a removal that Pope Clement objected to.
1 Clement was well-regarded as an important Christian text. It was one of the earliest written works that like the Didache, unfortunately failed to make it into the New Testament Bible.

IMPORTANT: All Scripture text has context and background. Scripture should never be read literally or in isolation. Always seek clarification from religious scholars and teachers. In general, Scripture adheres to four principles: (1) Literal Meaning - What the Scripture says (2) Historical Setting - The story events; how the Scripture was understood in its time (3) Grammar - The surrounding sentence and paragraph; textual context (4) Synthesis - A comparison with similar Scripture to give a better contextual understanding
